In 2001, Joe Sievers joined the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge team as Director of Instruction. Joe's previous experience in teaching at Interbay Golf Club and Washington National lead Joe to receive consecutively the PGA Teacher of the Year in Western Washington award in 2003 and 2004 and 2006. Then in 2007, Joe was awarded the coveted PGA Sectional 'Teacher of the Year' award.

His style of teaching involves focusing on the clubs that make up 75% of your game; the driver, wedge, and putter. Ensuring that his students understand these clubs is essential to perfecting their game. He addresses how having a firm understanding of each golf club will help you get the ball in play off the tee, hit the ball close when you are around the green, and get the ball in the hole when you are on the green. "Who wouldn't have fun playing golf if you could do this?" In addition, Joe strongly believes that a solid golf game is the sum of five equally important parts: physical, technical, mental, emotional, and social. You must posses the correct amount of flexibility and strength, a good understanding of how the club works in the swing, the ability to think your way around the course, control your feelings, and how to appropriately interact with other players.

See you on the lesson tee!
